Customize — plugins, skills, connections, and MCP
Connect Cortex to the tools you already use and choose what the AI can do, all on one screen.
The Customize screen brings together Plugins, Skills, Connections, and MCP servers. The AI uses each one with your permission.
To open it: on computers and tablets, tap Customize in the rail; on phones, in the shortcut bar of the chat list.

Skills
Skills are what the AI can do beyond chatting: Web search, Vision (reading images), Memory across chats, Voice transcription, and real Spreadsheets, Documents, and Presentations (Excel, Word, and PowerPoint).
- Open Skills. The active ones appear at the top with ✓.
- Tap the + on an available skill to turn it on.
- Tap the card to see what it does and to turn it off.
Connections
Connections link the AI to other services through each one's official sign-in: Google Workspace, GitHub, GitLab, Notion, Jira and Confluence, Linear, ClickUp, Airtable, Supabase, Zapier, and more.
- Open Connections and choose the service.
- Tap Connect and sign in on the official page.
- Go back to the chat and ask: "list my open issues on GitHub", "create an event tomorrow at 10 a.m.". The AI asks for confirmation before changing anything.

MCP servers
MCP servers are external tools that follow the Model Context Protocol standard. Use them to connect Cortex to your own system or to a ready-made MCP.
- Open MCP servers and tap + (Add MCP server).
- Give it a Name and choose the type: Remote (URL) — enter the address (for example
https://servidor.com/mcp) and the Token (if needed); Local (command) — on a computer, the Command that starts the server. - Save. The server's tools become available to the AI in your chats and in the Installed list.
Plugins
Plugins bundle ready-made skills and connections for a task.
- Open Plugins › Store and tap + to install. Every plugin starts out turned off.
- In My plugins, use the … menu to turn one on, see details, or remove it.
