AI Attendant
Create an attendant with your business information — it suggests replies or answers on its own, and calls you when it needs you.
The AI Attendant works inside Messages. It answers your customers with what you've taught it about the business and hands the chat over to a person when it doesn't know, when the customer asks, or when the topic is sensitive.

1. Create the agent
- In Messages, open AI Attendant and tap New agent.
- In Identity, give it a name (for example, "Bia, from Central Store"), a tone of voice, and a language.
- In Business information, fill in What you sell, Prices, Hours, Address, and Policies.
- In FAQ, tap Add question for each common question and its correct answer. If you have material ready, use Add file.
- In Business rules, say what the AI Can and Can't do or promise — for example, when to offer a discount and how much.
- Tap Save.
2. Choose the mode
Each inbox (each number) has a mode, and you can change it for just one chat:
| Mode | What happens |
|---|---|
| Off | The AI doesn't read or answer the chat |
| Suggest | The AI writes a draft; you review and send it |
| Automatic | The AI answers on its own with the agent's information |
In Inboxes and rules you also choose When the AI acts: all chats, only selected ones, New contacts only, only chats with certain labels, or only outside business hours (during business hours, your team answers).
3. When the AI calls you
The chat moves to Needs you, leaves automatic mode, and you get an alert on your phone when:
- the AI didn't have the information;
- the customer asked for a person;
- there's a complaint or a sensitive topic;
- a word you set in Word that always hands over appears;
- the chat is outside WhatsApp's 24-hour window.
4. Teach it through everyday work
The AI watches your team's replies and suggests what it has learned ("I learned that…"). In Learnings › To approve, tap Approve or Discard. Only what you approve takes effect.
5. Track the results
In Reports you can see messages received, answered by the AI and by the team, suggestions, first response time, and the reasons for handing over to a person — by agent, by channel, and by team member. Download as CSV or PDF.
Privacy
Cortex doesn't store the text of your chats: they stay on your device. The server uses only what it needs to answer at that moment and keeps counts for the reports. Each AI answer counts toward the inbox owner's limit.
