Account, devices, and privacy

What syncs between your devices, where your data lives, how to change the language, and how to delete your account.

Available on: Android, iPhone, iPad, Windows, macOS, Linux, and WebUpdated in version 6.75.326

What syncs

With an account, your chats, Library, and memories follow you from phone to computer to the web. Without an account, everything stays on the device.

Where your data lives

  • Generated images and videos are stored first on your device; the cloud is a plan extra.
  • Chats in Messages stay only on your devices: Cortex relays them encrypted and deletes them as soon as each device receives them.
  • Local AI runs on your computer, and the bridge to your phone is end-to-end encrypted.
  • Passwords and API keys are kept in the device's secure vault.
  • Usage statistics keep only totals by country, city, device type, and usage mode. Your IP address is used only for that calculation and isn't stored.

The details are in the Privacy Policy.

Change the language

Cortex speaks Portuguese, English, and Japanese.

  • In the app: open Settings and choose the language.
  • In Cortex Web: open the account menu, go to Language, and choose Follow the browser, Português, English, or 日本語.

Plan, payments, and downloads

Your account page shows your active plan, usage limits, credits, payments, and downloads, without having to open the chat.

Sign out and switch accounts

When you sign out, the device clears the previous account's data. Signing in with another account starts fresh, without mixing chats.

Delete your account

Open the Delete account page and follow the steps. Deletion erases the account and the data linked to it, as described in the privacy policy.
